it is to “My good” to stay and work with the Neothink Society….

Earlier this year I asked my NeoTech colleagues “why am I here? What can I do for the common good?”

I am an 88 year old retired physician. I spent 30 years in the U.S. Public Health Service doing research on tropical and parasitic diseases in Guatemala, Venezuela, and Liberia and then working with parasitic diseases, arthritis, and diabetes in the United States. After I retired from the Public Health Service in 1970, I worked as Chief of Research and Statistics for 13 years with the last three years also as Acting Deputy Director in the Hawaii Department of Health

I have written and had published about 300 articles or chapters in books on medical and zoological topics, produced two movies on tropical diseases and a fictional movie utilizing a model railroad layout.

I was interested in my youth in religion. Before I was even a teenager I read the Bible extensively and was asked to leave Sunday School and not return because I would point it out anytime the “teacher” said anything that had a different version elsewhere in the Bible. Seventy years later I started reading the Bible again but refused to join the church that I attend because I do not believe everything I would have to say I believed in order to join that church.

It was while I was seeking guidance to find enough faith to believe the Church concept of the Bible that I joined the Neothink Society. It seemed to me that their literature was more satisfying than what I had read in the Bible or anything I had read that was sanctioned by the Christian Churches that I had attended.

I still do not know what I can do for the “common good,” but now, at least, I am convinced that it is to “My good” to stay and work with the Neothink Society.
