Marvel at the Sunrise of a New World with Honest Hope!

As a young teenager growing up in Ann Arbor, Michigan in the 1960’s; I felt part of a very progressive community.  Because of the University of Michigan, I was privileged at an early age to have that era’s brightest teachers.  It prepared me for an optimistic view for our future.

I became proud of my father when he helped drive a car load from my seventh grade class to Detroit, Michigan.  We went to the Fisher Theatre to see the premiere of an artful music driven“2001 A Space Odyssey”.  We had read the book in class and, now we would see this awe inspiring movie.

Years later the sequel came out, “2010” and one line in the movie summed up what I grew up to believe.  “Something wonderful is happening” spoke louder than what every one and current events were saying.  I knew deep in my heart that WE controlled our destiny and I wanted to play a part in it.

Now, it stands to reason why I am motivated to belong to an organization that truly strives to assist individuals to become the person they were meant to be.  In meeting others that want a brighter future and realize they have the power to create it.

We only need to look to the horizon and witness the beautiful sun set on a civilization that has been “hell-bent” on destruction.  Then, turn around and marvel at the “sun-rise” of a new world with honest hope.
