Outwitting the Devil by Napoleon Hill

This is a new release from the Napoleon Hill (NH) Society which I found interesting since Napoleon Hill passed away in 1970. The explanation for the delay was that Mrs. Hill was so scared of the fallout from the topic that she refused to let Mr. Hill publish it. The manuscript was handed down to the next generation of Hill and they had the same concern. Finally one of the ancestors was brave enough to release the manuscript to the NH society for publication.

What I find interesting is I have not heard of this book from any main stream sources which is unusual because I am an Amazon Affiliate Online seller and NH books and audios are one of the main items I push. I heard about this through Marshall Sylver, the hypnotist that runs Get Rich Radio.

This book is definitely different than any other NH book I have read. If you have read Think and Grow Rich you may recall that NH formed an imaginary council in his mind and communed with them daily. He studied each member of his council and over time they all started to take on their own characteristics in his mind. He states in his book that they became so real to him it scared him and he discontinued meeting with them.

It appears that NH applied this technique to the Devil.

NH starts the book with a story about his life leading up to the penning of the manuscript. NH’s bank had gone under during the great depression and he lost his house and basically all his money. While trying to rebuild he encounter other problems that made him question his years of teaching. NH then has a turning point in his thinking and his “Other Self” emerges. This is the point where his life turned around and he truly started living what he taught.

It is this “Other Self” that is able to look the Devil in the eye and demand truthful answer. So at this point the book changes from a story format to an interview format. I found this to be very refreshing. It made for a quick read.

Right off the bat it is clear to see where the controversy for publishing comes from. NH asks the Devil who he is and to describe himself and God. What follows is the most unique explanation I have ever heard or read. The answer is a theology meets quantum physics explanation and it just spun the thinking around in my head as only really new and different ideas can.

Now this is over 200 pages so I can’t give a critique of everything but I will give you a few points that stuck in my mind:

The process the Devil uses to capture 98% of everyone in the world.

The only way the 2% escape him.

Why most churches and schools are actually aiding his cause.

The trick you need to know to keep from being recaptured once you escape.

I recommend everyone read this book. I warn you that there are times you are going to be offended, based on your beliefs. If you have an open mind you will get a lot out of this book. If you have a closed mind you are going to hate this book. If you are wise, you are going to follow the suggestions in this book whether you liked the book or hated it.

Mark thank you for sharing a book from author Napolean Hill. I found his law of cosmic habit force to be one that strikes me as paramount. I know that it means assuming 100% responsiblity for my life, and that if I do that my life will be what I want it to be, not what someone in a position of authority believes it to be. The Neothink Society helps us to move forward – the natural evolution of conscious men and women. Being open to receive what comes our way allow us to use the brilliant minds that we each have to discern what is right for self. No one other than self can do that. The Neothink Society has people from all walks of life (religions, races, genders, education levels, countries)because once we accept that each conscious life is worth treasuring, the world becomes the treasure we are all seeking.

I just want to say that I will be looking to read this book so I can further my knowledge. But I have to say that I became a self-leader because of the Literature from the Neothink Society. And that I worked very hard at becoming a self-leader. And I believe that anyone who has worked hard at becoming a self-leader is not going to return to the following mode. And because I have worked very hard at becoming a self-leader. I place no responsibility for my life on GOD because I no longer believe in GOD and not believing in GOD I also don’t believe in the devil. And the main reason why I say this is because I’m working very hard at becoming a GODMAN

What he leaves to each person to decide if this is simply a bit of imagination based on his research or was he actually in a deep trance holding onto the actually consciousness of the devil.
  
  I hope you have had a chance to read the book by now. It is obvious work done while using Neothink and the insights are so important that I believe this will be one of the great works ever released.
