I grew up in a rural village in southwestern of China. My family house was located at a mountainside. I used to get to the mountaintop, spent time to watch sunrises in the morning and feel the mist touching my face. I was fond of observing people in the village from a far distance. I was also fond of seeing wild animals such as ants very closely. I was amazed how the ant society is well organized. I know how to attract hordes of ants out of their nest using my leftover foods. I might play my “flood and rescue” game to see how they behave during an emergence. In the nights before going to sleep I would stay outside of my house watching stars in the sky and listening to adults, or enjoyed a book near a vegetable oil light if I could borrow one from friends. I loved my teachers and classmates, and was serious about my learning in the schools. I was a happy and playful boy. I had a lot of very good time and very peaceful life.

However, life changed when I became a neurosurgeon after medical school. I was always busy, even did not have enough sleep, day and night, operation after operation, but didn’t get the payment I deserved. Meanwhile there are political players at every level in medical system and outside. I couldn’t see much love and peace among people, but unhealthy and many death. I was trapped in an anti-civilization (AC) system with dishonesty and injustice everywhere. I didn’t know what exactly is wrong and had no solutions for my life and others. I was searching and that is why I went to Japan and then came to USA.
