During the summer of 1986 I met a Nigerian male through a spiritual group that we were both members of. That friendship positively influenced my life’s journey. He was a vegetarian who took me to my first wellness convention, which was in Rosemont, Illinois. At the convention I was exposed to lots of information regarding natural healing. After that initial visit every year during that same time I always looked forward to attending the wellness conventions. I favored alternative healing methods versus traditional medicine and attended wellness conventions faithfully for years.Yesterday, Friday June 12, 2009 I attended the Health Freedom Expo at the Renaissance Hotel in Schaumburg, Illinois. Excited about attending I looked forward to the opportunities that I knew would be waiting for me. I began the day by listening to a presentation given by a Natural Physician. It was extremely exhilarating! Fortunately my neothink mentality empowered me to bring healthy foods to eat throughout the day. Two years ago when I attended there were free healthy food samples in abundance to snack on yet this year the healthy food sampling was very limited.
The Renaissance Hotel in Schaumburg, Illinois is “fabulous”! Its ambience is breathtaking in fact every aspect of the Renaissance Hotel in Schaumburg, Illinois is storybook enchanting. The sun was shining beautifully throughout the day. In the afternoon while sitting in the dining area having lunch I had the powerful opportunity to meet a forty-five year old man who has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and in a wheel chair. He and his wife had recently changed their diet to vegan through the guidance of a minister. They both were openly receptive to hearing about my wellness journey and I shared my essence with them. My thoughts, my diet, my persistence and my essence flowed through me as tears of love ran down my cheeks The universe used me to mentor them. He and his wife felt that their time with me would be one of the most valuable experiences they would have during the convention.
I am loving my journey!
