I am a Regional Sales Manager for a company who provides replacement parts to nearly every manufacturing sector in the United States. I’m geographically responsible for servicing the Midwest which is now affectionately known as the “Rust Belt”.
The recession started in October 2008 under George Bush and spending from factories and businesses halted almost overnight. President Obama took office in January 2009 and is increasing taxes on an incredibly week and unstable economy. These are some of the negative changes will occur on January 1, 2011:
- Obama will let income tax cuts expire for all couples who earn more than $250,000 per year
- Obama will institute an estate tax which is projected to be between 45-55% of all assets
- Obama will push top tax rates from 15% to 20%
- $291 Billion will be raised in new tax dollars by decreasing the allowable write-off for charitable donations
In the last two years I have personally witnessed countless plants shut down because of a lack of demand for their products. General Motors facilities that used to employ over two thousand workers have been demolished and large fields now lay where these impressive plants use to flourish. Capitol spending has crawled to a halt in the building materials industry and the most optimistic reports are hoping for a small spike in 2013. Food Processing and Recycling have also stopped placing orders for capital projects.
It’s simple; if factories are not spending money on replacement parts they are not selling products. If they are not selling products than they can no longer afford their work force. Our unemployment rate was 9.5% at the end of August 2010. The number does not take into account the millions of Americans who have been out of work for over a year. New factories are not being built in our country. Since there are fewer workers making money, there is less money being spent in our economy. Therefore, a lower demand means that there is no need to employ more workers in the factories that we do have.
Our economy taken a turn and will never rebound to its formal glory until severe actions are taken. The Republican and Democratic parties have both failed its hard working American citizens. We as a society are manipulated at every election to believe that change is forthcoming and everything will be all right. Many of us now know that we can’t trust anybody in Washington and they are always telling lies just to get our votes.
Mark Hamilton’s TVP (Twelve Visions Party) will simply put more of your money into your wallet. It’s a very simple approach but will be extremely effective. Our new economy will flourish as an influx of new entrepreneurs, investors, and inventors will gradually start to appear. There will be an increased momentum with this trend and our economy will take off as technology will boom. This party does not share the same taxing and spending ideals that we are forced to endure in Washington. The TVP is what this country needs to take us to the next Golden Age of mankind.
