My interpretation of Neothink:
1) That because of our ‘learned’ mysticism, laziness, and emotion-driven behavior we are trapped in the anticivilization spiral of death….giving up on the dreams of our youth, accepting a life of increasing frustration and discontent, allowing age to sap our joy of living and our physical vitality, and eagerly await death as we rapidly ‘age before our time’.
2) That in order to free ourselves from the reality of 1) above, we must accept total and complete responsibility for our lives (physical, mental, and spiritual).
2a) That total and complete HONESTY with ourselves and all others is a mandatory prerequisite for our success and happiness.
2b) That we reach our maximum potential for happiness and fulfillment when we are VALUE CREATORS.
2c) That our minds are our true source of guidance and strength.
2d) That we must force ourselves to be driven by action NOT emotion (DTC) (Discipline, Thought, Control). Force is needed initially to overcome our ‘learned’ behavior…DTC should become our ‘normal’ mode over time. I don’t think this means that we should become emotionless…the premise is that by allowing our emotions to ‘control’ our behavior (now) we are constantly making decisions that are harmful and/or not in our best interest and DTC will allow us to intelligently chose our path forward.
2e) That the principles of business, applied to our lives, are the most effective and efficient way to successfully implement the changes.
2f) That even Mark Hamilton is not to be blindly followed. Mark is trying to show us that we must assume the responsibilities of ‘masters of our own fate’. I think that is why there is very little ‘specific’ guidance from him….he wants us to find the ‘right way for us’ as individuals…..the leap he is making (that we may not be able to see) is that he is confident that we will be successful.
I’ll be the first to admit…when the lights are out and you’re alone at night…this can be scary stuff….it’s not simple or easy to go ‘against the grain’ of our imbedded anticivilization concepts……..This is the true benefit of Neo Tech…not simply the awareness that’s listed above….but the loving support of others on the same journey that you have undertaken……..I am far from where I ultimately want to be on my journey….I have made many mistakes and am sure there will be many more… but I know that I am not alone….and will never be alone again.
