My Living Job of Value Creation

If you were to meet me today you would see a person who is confident and has direction in life.

I would have to say that this all stems from my involvement with the Neothink Society.  Today I coordinate a team of integrated individuals whose primary goal in life is to realize the vision of a better and more prosperous world.  A world full of self leaders.  I, myself, have always had an inclination toward business and self leadership but did not fully understand the skill of integration.  Today this skill is second nature to me and is a daily practice contrasted from the days prior to learning the techniques. Back then I would wait for my boss or manager to tell me what the next task and simply follow their instructions.  Using the concepts, philosophy, and techniques I have learned from the literature of the Society, I have learned how to become more efficient in my money making activities.  I have learned how to become more inefficient in my day to day personal life as well.  The efficiencies that I have gained from these things have enabled me to delve into other areas of knowledge and understanding and gain some level of expertise in those fields as well.  This has given me a greater command and understanding of the world around me.  For instance, by applying the techniques to my manufacturing business, I have gone from physically working at my side business in excess of 80 hours a month literally to working my business approximately 20 hours every two weeks.  In addition, my new efficiency has enabled me to take on more work.  My work load with the manufacturing business has nearly doubled from where it was roughly two years ago.  Instead of building 1600 pieces per month, I currently build between 2500 and 3500 pieces.  This has afforded me the opportunity to shed my 9 to 5 job and focus on my manufacturing business as my primary source of income.  These efficiencies have given me more time and even enabled me to become involved in the international business of importing Colombian emeralds.

I have even applied the concepts and techniques that I have learned from the literature to my involvement in the Neothink Society.  Today, as I mentioned, I am the coordinator of a group of the Society’s members in the Chicago area, the Midwest Integrated chapter.  I have applied the time management concepts described in the literature to create several small companies within the company that we have formed to promote the society.  They are my mini-companies.  These mini-companies are:  a social club for hosting events and activities for the members of my chapter and a web based newsletter for promoting the integrations of the Neothink Society.  The efficiencies that I have gained over my manufacturing business have enabled me to do this.  It has given me the time to learn new skills such as web design that ultimately allowed me to create a new website for my newsletter and for my chapter.  Through the lessons about integration,  I have taken that website and given it money making purpose by integrating advertising for the member business’  of the society into it.  I have even taken on the role as accountant for my company due the efficiency I have today.

Today I feel a sense of purpose and accomplishment.  The road to get to this point was not a short one and at times I felt like laying it aside and just returning to my daily grind.  Today I am glad I didn’t.  Today my integrations of knowledge come to me instantly and allow me to obtain the results that I want.  It has enabled me to become a creator of values instead of a producer of values and for me that is the motivating factor that gives me the greatest amount of confidence.  A confidence that shows.

Together, I and my group have taken the components of our organization and created a few other mini-companies as well.  We did this by taking each component and assigning it a money-making purpose; breaking each one down into its basic parts and integrating its common denominators.  The new mini-companies that have spawned as a result of the techniques in the literature, are our mentorship workshops and outreach program where we teach others these skills so that they can do the same in their lives.  An advertising business facilitated through our website and newsletter whose goal is to bring low cost advertising to members to support their endeavors and ultimately to strengthen the Society.

At various points in my life, I imagined in my future:   great power, wealth, confidence, and respect.  Even as a child, I watched my father open and manage his own auto service station and watched him create things for my family, I could envision these things in my future.

Today with the keys I found in the literature, I now have those values within my grasp.

While all of the things I have discussed above are important to me and build my confidence with each new endeavor, it is the integration of my past experience and knowledge, new knowledge, and my newly created values that drives me.  It drives me because I know that the success of my integrated endeavors will ultimately play a significant contributing factor in the realization of a better world.  It is the world that the Society and I seek to attain.
