Over the past couple of years many things have changed in my life. The way I see the world is different, the way I think is different, the way I act and react to the world and those around me is different.
Up to a few years ago I was a rather angry, sad person, dissatisfied with my life, my job and the world in general. I was not a happy person and couldn’t seem to find but a small portion of that ‘happy place’ we would all like to spend our lives in. My life was unfulfilled, incomplete and didn’t seem to have any direction or focus let alone much hope of achieving my smallest dream.
When I was in my forties, I was repeatedly told that those years were supposed to be the most productive years of my life. I should be hitting my stride in life. Those years were where I was supposed to make all my dreams come true, make money and find true happiness. None of this happened in my forties, fifties and has only just begun to happen now as I enter my sixties.
This is because something has changed, something has happened and I am beginning to get it, get this whole life and happiness thing thanks to the people of this society. My life is more focused; I have found what makes me happy, my ‘Friday Night Essence’. I am becoming the person I was met to be all those years ago. It is difficult to describe the changes I have experienced over the past two years as I learn and discover me and what I am met to do.
When we were young, we all wanted to help people, make a difference and change the world, be someone important, someone the world would love. All of us experienced this hope, this dream for our future and few have ever achieved it. We’ve all heard the cliché, ‘It’s never too late’! and it’s never too late! It’s never to late to learn about how to be happy, be fulfilled and become that happy person we were when we were children so many years ago.
All of us have aspired to leave a better world for our children and our children’s children. It is our legacy to do this. I believe that with the knowledge I have gained from the Society and the Heirloom books of the Society, we can create that world now, for all of us.
I look forward every day to learning more from the Heirlooms, learning how to integrate these concepts and ideas and make my life better for only I can do that. By changing my life, the lives of those around me, those I love, those I meet everyday, can and will be touched and changed if only but a little! This is my legacy to my son and my world!
