I had to recheck my eyes when I had a 5 lb drop over the last 5 weeks. Every month I weigh myself and for the last two and a half years I have held very steady (2 lbs in fluctuation). I was expecting to be on the high side of my fluctuation because I hadn’t been to the gym as much as I normally am. So I was very excited to see I was 5 lbs less than expected. It also got me thinking since I knew I was exercising less for that month.
There were three things that I incorporated into my life style and I started them at slightly different times so I don’t know if any one was the real cause in drop or if the synergy from all three was the trick. None of these are earth shattering or difficult. Actually the changes were so easy that I didn’t realize I was even loosing weight.
Change 1. I switched from eating homemade sandwiches to organic soup. I got this tip from the Hugh Downs Medical Breakthrough book I bought when it first came out. I did switch to organic soup a few months ago because the regular soups didn’t sit well in my stomach. I had been taking soups a couple of days a week before. The last month it was just more convenient to take the soup everyday. NOTE I do take a half hour walk on my lunch hour before eating but I have done that for 5 years now. Also I rarely drink soda, instead I make a sweet tea with fruit juices instead of sugar.
Change 2. I added a teaspoon of psyllium seeds to my morning glass of orange juice. I knew I wasn’t getting enough fiber and high fiber bread was a little rough. I knew about this stuff and my wife had actually taken this in pill form for a while. I found that it was cheaper in bulk form at my local health food store. NOTE if you take this in its seed form by mixing with a drink make it a cold drink and drink it right away. I put it in a big jug of water thinking I could sip it for a while and it turned into jello! A quick stir broke them apart but that first sip after it had been sitting half an hour was a bit of a surprise.
Change 3. I switched from Black Tea to Ginseng Tea. I was listening to an audio recording on the Global Information Network website by Mr Peter Ragnar. He has spent his life studying martial arts and herbal cures. His number one herbal recommendation for longevity is Ginseng Tea and several other herbs but Ginseng was the most important. So as I was walking through my health food store I found some Ginseng Tea by Yogi. Several other ingredients were also recommended by Mr. Ragnar that were included in the ingredients. So I drink two cups of this tea a day.
That’s it! I switched two things I was already doing sandwich to soup, and regular tea to ginseng tea. Then I added a teaspoon of fiber to my morning juice with a little stir and off I go for the day! As I do the Special K pinch (I know I am showing my age) I can tell that I am still loosing fat so I expect to see another drop in weight next month and since this is so easy I believe anyone can benefit!
I save ginseng for very long time, I knew it was not good by now and throw it away, I check a lots of very old teas that bugs got in and I knew it is not good idea to use it, ha.. well, I am wondering, what about peppermint tea, I find love to drink it, often. Taste like sweet might cause fat? You have seen some herbal teas, with no list. Look forward to hear from you soon, thank you.
That definitely is worth a try–I think I shall also practice the soup instead of the sometimes sprouted-grain-bread sandwiches (no cold-cuts)I eat. I do like the Ginseng Tea, but I have not drank it everyday.
