It was the year 1975, I was a sophomore in high school. I was sitting in my math class learning algebra, this was new math for most of us. Earlier sometime before 1975 the hand held calculator started to appear on some store shelves. My math teacher spoke to the class about this little hand held device, and warned us, ” do not attempt to bring it into class”. I thought to myself ( do not worry about me, that thing is way to expensive, my parents would never buy me one). Within that same conversation of the calculator, my teacher also talked about this thing called the computer, he had some difficulty explaining what it was, but told us the computer will be coming into our lives, at work, and possibly into our homes.
My classmates and I were kind of laughing in disbelief, saying ” no way robots were going to take the place of people’s jobs”.
As the years went by, I continued to believe my convinced thoughts “the computer, no way” I felt I really did not have to worry about it because I was entering the Heating and Air Conditioning field, I would have no need to learn about this computer thing anyway.
I was raised in a blue collar family, I was forced to learn H. V. A. C. starting at the young age of 9 years old, mostly everyday after school and usually every weekend my dad would take me to work with him ( he did a lot of side work).
The need or desire to learn the computer never came, It was not until Mark Hamilton taught me Neo-Think, (new way of thinking). He taught me through his writings how to use the power of my mind correctly, only with honesty and helping others can the everlasting happy prosperous life be achieved.
It was then after seeing the message in my mind, I thought about, when trying to give advice to my teenage children it seemed sometimes near impossible, are they really listening? All children today are constantly on a computer, or a cell phone communicating with each other, this is the world they live in, next I thought back to my teenage years, and put my mind to where their minds are at today. This is when I realized, reading a message works much better than trying to get them to listen.
I then realized, I need a computer, I needed to learn how to use a computer, I did not have the funds to buy one or the time to sit in a class room. My daughter had a computer sitting on her closet shelf for over a year, it did not work, it crashed! I had no idea what that meant. Not knowing anything about a computer, I decided I will take a look at it, see if I could get it working. I am the type of person who will try to fix something before throwing it away. I hooked up the computer according to the instructions, I took step by step actions, there was many trial and errors, but because of my deep down desire, and determination I would not give up. I would do some procedures over and over again and have no success. I would get so frustrated not knowing what I am doing wrong , I would lay down close my eyes and within 20 minutes, I saw the visions that guided me. I got the computer working, just like the first day we brought it home. It had all the 6 month free trial programs and everything. I then Emailed to my children a letter, to inspire and motivate them as they enter the new society work force teaching them how to use the power of their mind, the gift they were born with.

I could have done so much better in school if I had been able to afford a computer at home to practice on. As soon as I left school, computers went from over $2000 a pop to practically nothing on the second hand market. Now, there is a huge generation gap and even working in IT, I have to work hard to keep up!
hey dale; except for the kids,i was in the same situation that you were in and did not have a need for a computer untill mark hamilton came along. do you think he may be secretly working for the computer companies to help them make more sales?? ta-ta
