What is Love? Part 3
In “What is Love? Part 2” I focused on determining your good qualities and those you would like to improve, and how accepting yourself is vital to achieving the happiness you deserve.
Once you have a better understanding of yourself; where you are and where you would like to be, you are almost ready for the next step. Learning to attract the partner of your dreams.
Before I get to that, I would like to share with you two exercises I use to help me attain and maintain a more positive self-image.
First, start saying “thank you” several times a day. Personally, I say “thank you” in the morning and the evening.
When I first started this process I had more negative thoughts than positive ones, so I began saying thank you for simple things. Thank you for my eyes, thank you for my children, thank you for being alive today, etc. I use the time while brushing my teeth and getting ready in the morning to simply say thank you over and over again.
As you continue with this exercise you may find, like I did, that there is so much to be thankful for everyday! The more you are thankful for what you have now, the more things, people, and experiences will come into your life to be thankful for in the future.
I actually found there were times when I would be saying my daily thank you and I was moved to tears of joy and gratitude for what I had in my life. This was even before I found the love of my dreams!
Saying thank you is a powerful way to truly appreciate what you have now, so that you will better appreciate what you gain in the future.
In my next blog I will tell you the second technique I use to create the proper self-image, and attract the love of my life.
